New Denny Lyon Design: Show Military How Much You Appreciate Their Service

Sacrifice Men's Baseball Jersey

Sacrifice Men's Baseball Jersey T-Shirt

No sacrifice is ever left behind or forgotten *thank you*

From Denny:  Since it's Memorial Day weekend coming up I was thinking about all the military vets who feel America does not appreciate their service or their many sacrifices.  I was even visiting a national cemetery here in Baton Rouge, Louisiana for the war dead beginning with the Civil War.  There were even soldiers from Massachusetts buried here in the South.

It's odd how looking around in obscure forgotten places few people visit any more that you can still feel the eerie sense of loss even a century later of lives not fulfilled or appreciated.  So, I decided to design this T-shirt for us to wear to publicly remind service members that the public IS aware of their sacrifices AND also appreciative.

The psychic wound of the returning Vietnam soldiers still hurts today all these decades later.  Just ask anyone who served back then.  Let them know how you feel today.  I know I sure don't like war or believe most wars are necessary but that still does not negate all the many sacrifices the individual service members and their families make on a daily basis, often for many years.

Designed New Warriors Pearl Logo, Foundation to Help Homeless Women Vets

From Denny:  Finally settled on my first version of the Warriors Pearl Foundation logo as I get this new Cafe Press store up and running.  I can tell this is going to be a grind to develop enough designs and then the laborious process of attaching them to the products in order to launch online awareness to fund this foundation.

But hey, I'm up for the challenge.  Just wish this didn't take so long because the one thing that drives me is knowing 5,000 women are living homeless - and winter is coming...  No one should ever be homeless in America, especially single mothers of young children which many of these women are.

Then it's on to marketing the individual product pages and placing them into the search engines and on social sites.  Need to remember to place promos for the products in related blog posts too.  I wonder if this will take as long as it did with the blogs - a couple of years???

Warriors Pearl Foundation: Helping Homeless Female Military Veterans

From Denny:  Writing so much on politics and news sure can spur a person to action.  There are over 5,000 homeless female military veterans here in America.  Many are on the streets because they were raped while serving in the military.

The Pentagon rarely takes the rapists to task, demotes or prosecutes them.  Women wait for decades hoping for justice.  Many are so traumatized, some by military gang rape, they are suffering from PTSD.  They end up in to drugs and prostitution.  It's time to bring them home.

There are also over 100,000 homeless male military veterans from many wars, Vietnam to Iraq to Afghanistan. They too are suffering from PTSD and need our help.  Getting the national politicians to actually care and then do something significant to help our wounded warriors is a monumental effort.

I'm fed up with waiting for Congress and this President to do the right thing.  My call to action was to begin the funding process for this new foundation:  Warriors Pearl Foundation.  I've started a new store up on Cafe Press Denny Lyon Gifts to sell T-shirts and other products.  The images are my own photography and art work combined with interesting insightful quotes.  I'll be adding to the product list, so be sure to check back often.

Also, have a $3 donation button up on all the 22 blogs.  The proceeds, like from the Denny Lyon Gifts, will all go to the Warriors Pearl Foundation.  Thank you for your support and hope you enjoy the goodies!
