A Truth Journal: NSA Leak, Sexual Assaults: Why Does President Obama Protect Pentagon Corruption, Nominating Same Wrong Leadership?: From Denny:  President Obama nominated Gen. Dempsey for a second term as Joint Chiefs Chairman at the Pentagon.  This coming week the Senate will decide whether to confirm him again - which they probably will do.  It's called rubber-stamping the same tired wrong doing.

This JC Chairman is the guy that knows more of what is really going on than the President does.  The President just lives under the illusion that he knows.

This JC Chairman is the guy who chooses what not to tell the President and Congress about where the money is really going.  This is the guy who sets up and approves of the private contractor deals, especially the secret ones that are no bid contracts which the public and watchdog groups are not allowed to oppose or offer opinion...

A Truth Journal: Childish White House Press Secretary Pouts When Challenged By Kid Reporter: From Denny:  If there ever was a sign that Team Obama is unraveling and spinning out of control in their second term then the Press Secretary's childish response to a 16-year-old's poignant question in a recent news briefing is reflecting it.

Press Secretary Jay Carney behaves like a man who hates his job.  He looks like he is always sucking lemons and developing ulcers for some time now.  Clearly, this guy is not a good fit for Press Secretary because he sure does not know how to relate positively to the press, especially an ardent high school student.

Just what did this teenager, Gabe Finger, an intern at the snarky conservative The Daily Caller, ask that Carney found so odious?

A Truth Journal: NSA Leak Satire: If You Really Believe U.S. Govt Then Awesome Investment Opportunities Available: From Denny:  Does anyone really believe the U.S. government and the President about this NSA leak?  No, of course not.

Are the polls running in favor of NSA leaker Edward Snowden labeled as a whistleblower rather than a traitor?  Yes, the American public really is smarter than a fifth grader though it appears the military, intelligence community (IC), Justice Department, Congress and the President cannot match wits with the American public.

So, in that vein, do I have several investment opportunities for the bone-head stupid and the gullible in our government.  They do so love to participate in the game of insider trading, coming to Washington as paupers when first elected and leaving just a few years later as millionaires.  My own Louisiana Republican Gov. Bobby Jindal did just that when he went to Washington as a Congressman.  Why not follow his corrupt example?  Capitalism careening out of control is alive and well, thriving in Washington, D.C.

From Denny:  While our federal government spins out of control we might as well laugh about it, especially since Congress is down to a ten percent approval rating.  Who are those lame folks?  The NSA Leaker Edward Snowden must have some seriously damning evidence about other projects or practices still secret since the government is downright rabies crazy in their pursuit of him.

Why else are the military, the FBI and the State Department all chasing Snowden and bullying any country that even considers giving asylum to him?  I'll bet Snowden does not even realize what he knows - or has in his possession - that is so terrifying for the CYA military and intelligence community (IC) if it were revealed.

Of course, because the Obama government has chosen to go down this stupid road to chase Snowden all over the world like a Where's Waldo episode, proclaiming him a dangerous fellow, it only convinces everyone that America is now a police state where individual rights are no longer honored.  More on that theme tomorrow...

A Truth Journal: NSA Leak: Russian Hearts Warm To Snowden, Ecuador Fights U.S. Bullying: From Denny:   Edward Snowden currently finds himself in the tender care of the Russians, supposedly America's worst enemy.  Yet these Russians are warming to him, impressed by his One Man Stand against the strongest world government which they have bitterly resented for decades.  While the Russians may also say they think Snowden's quest is probably a losing proposition they secretly hope he succeeds.

There is nothing better than witnessing when the seemingly impossible becomes possible.  Remember that One Man Stand of a Chinese student dissident standing in front of a tank during a protest and the tank came to a complete halt just inches in front of him?  That was impressive and cheered many human rights activists around the world.

Both of these acts speak to where there is one there is a majority of one.  You only have to stand and count for something, especially when it involves being of service to others.

A Truth Journal: Colbert, Daily Show Videos: Naughty Government, Funny NSA Leaker Jokes: From Denny:  When NSA Leaker Edward Snowden poked the hornets' nest of the intelligence community (IC), the military, private contractors, the government and the Justice Department they geared up into a defensive posture like never before this week.

Their collective backlash was the usual heavy-handedness of the 800 pound gorilla, heaped upon one individual they figure is an easy win, which only made the government look worse to the casual observer, especially the enthusiastic voting demographic under the age of 30.

Clearly, the government agencies are laying out the case to the court of public opinion, hoping to turn the public against Snowden so they have an excuse to either give him the death penalty or send out another wave of assassins. It's a shameful attitude and excessive behavior.

War dogs don't enjoy being told to heel, especially when one group had Snowden in their cross hairs.  Snowden has some fierce warrior angels looking out for him these days.  He had better appreciate them because they are protecting him on their own time.

Adding to the international drama stupidity, the typical idiot response from China is talking openly about kidnapping Snowden to torture him for details.  Let me share a thought with China.  Kidnapping Snowden is NOT in China's best interest.

New Denny Lyon Design: Phone Cases, Handbags, T-Shirts, More: Fun Magic Coffee Fonts

From Denny:  Since I'm past due on posting about all my new designs the past year for Denny Lyon Gifts to benefit charities helping homeless female military veterans who were victims of sexual assaults I might as well get started today.

This was a fun design to create after drinking too much coffee one morning. :) We do so enjoy that awesome aroma every morning wafting out of the kitchen to rocket us out of bed to begin our day.  So, I just had to place it on an unexpected product choice:  handbags and wallets!

To "gild the lily" there were two more coordinating patterns if you want to experience some creative fun to mix and match.  The nautical theme is popular in fashion now as the 60's retro is back on the scene.  Of course, with my usual, sometimes off kilter art mind, I thought how cool is it to think of "navigating" our way to the welcoming waters of our morning coffee as a major achievement?

So, as a writer too my idea of a symbolic representation of the nautical rope just had to be the keyboard's ampersand symbol.  The dashes reminded me of the old Morse Code of dots and dashes to send for help with an SOS signal when out on the water and your boat motor dies.  It seems like low tech is in need when your shortwave radio is broken and there isn't a cell tower in sight.  Yes, those old low tech goodies like Morse Code can come in handy!

After 3400 plus officially reported cases that actually went up the chain of command from a few brave commanders not willing to cover it up, there were only 190 of those 3400 plus sexual assaults and rapes that went to court.  No one resigned in shame for this pathetic record...

A Truth Journal: Scumbag Alert: Pentagon Still Promoting Rape and Sexual Assault: From Denny:  While the entire country and the President are appalled at the Pentagon's missteps to correct their vile attitude toward female service members, thousands of women are not getting justice.  Their rapists continue to be promoted to higher positions in the military, never punished or dishonorably discharged.  To add insult to injury the raped service members must salute that superior officer while she finishes her time in the military.

The Pentagon starts up sensitivity training programs, claiming they have vetted the men placed in charge of them.  Yeah?  Just recently one man was found to have sexually assaulted a woman in a public parking lot. Obviously, he is mocking the very issue of rape and sexual assault publicly.  He was also in charge of one of those classes and possess a high rank he certainly does not deserve.

The Pentagon claims that men should be in charge of these programs because the troops will not take women seriously as the leaders of these programs.  Really?  What the Pentagon is really saying is that they don't take any military women seriously.  Why are they even bothering with sensitivity training in the first place?  Does Sec. Hagel really believe that re-vetting those in charge of these programs is really going to change the outcome?

From Denny:  The Republican political machine has been frantically busy of late.  The 2016 mud-slinging is in full swing in mid-2013.  Guess these guys just couldn't wait.

They also saw an opening when Team Obama got lazy again after winning their second term.  It just goes to show if you want to stay on top of the mountain then you had better look busy, pushing hard ahead,  chasing after millions of jobs for underemployed and jobless Americans if you don't want to get knocked off the top of that presidential mountain.  That might also explain why President Obama has dropped down to the 65th position in the Most Trusted List this year...

A Truth Journal: Veterans Affairs Claims Logjam: Should Prez Obama Declare National Emergency?: From Denny:  There's a wonderful reason my husband is nicknamed "Satan" at our house.  Most times it's because he specializes in being the most annoying irritating person on the planet because it's his idea of fun when he gets bored - while he is the only person laughing. There are those times when Home "Satan" comes up with a wickedly good idea. "Satan" proposed it is past due time for President Obama to issue an executive order to declare a temporary suspension of all federal workers' rights and pay who work in the Veterans Affairs Administration until the claims logjam is accomplished.

Shocking, isn't it?  What's more shocking is how many veterans are committing suicide as a result of the VA falling down on the job.  Let the unions and the courts sort it out later.  As President, Mr. Obama should bring this call to action to pierce the logjam with a motivation for workers to keep their jobs.

A Truth Journal: Jon Stewart Hammers Vet Affairs Failing to Break 1 Million Claims Logjam: From Denny:  While other equally pressing news stories push to the front of the public's attention - like Israel attacking idiot terrorist-supporting Syria and the tragic Boston marathon bombing by less experienced terrorists - the very soldiers who fought America's terrorism wars are told to wait for help by the Dept. of Veterans Affairs.

Granted the VA does process around one million claims a year, all this while in the midst of trying to change over from an outdated dinosaur 1970's paper culture and advance into the digital age.  Currently, they are looking at another two years before believing they will have arrived in said digital age.  Let's get real; multiple that by ten and the estimate might be near accurate.

A Truth Journal: Breaking News: 1 Boston Terrorist Dead, 1 in House to House Search: From Denny:  It's 5 AM at our house and we woke up to breaking news on the Boston Marathon terrorist bombings.  The police have Boston in lock down right now.

The terrorist suspect number one with the dark baseball hat and sunglasses had an IED strapped to his chest, challenged the police with a hail of bullets, and was killed "suicide by cop."

Last night about 10 PM in Cambridge a 7-11 convenience store robbery by these two suspects where they killed an MIT campus police officer.
